Hi Choir :)


Because we ended late on fri, so here are the few announcements we need to make.


Jubilate tickets!! As it is most probably not free seating, please buy as early as possible to get better seats. Each of you will be required to sell at least 2 tickets. $35 each.


Trip people. THOSE PEOPLE WHO STILL HAVE YET TO HAND IN YOUR PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR PASSPORT,PLEASE PUT IT IN MR LIM'S PIGEON HOLE ON MONDAY. FINAL DAY! Please indicate on it your name, class, next-of-kin's (eg. parent, guardian etc.) name and contact, your medical history and food allergies if any. Also please get your roomings settled. Either you or you roomate must notify Cassandra.


Sec Ones + Ppl who altered the gown MUST Bring the money to pay on THURSDAY 4th March.


Consent Form. Get your parents to sign then bring it on Thurs. Reds pass to Jean Wei. Greys pass to Tiara. Whites to Yang Zhen. Greens to Qian Yi.


Contacts List. Please check that all of your information printed is correct. If there are mistakes, please make sure you write your name as well as the correct info on board in the ava room before choir on thurs 4th March. Level Coordinators whose numbers are wrong please sms Clara & Celeste after reading this.


For the sec ones and those who forgot the meaning of Itsuki, here is the meaning of the words in the song.

Important Notices

IMPORTANT NOTICES!!



Hi choir these are the important notices you need to take note of.

1. Alterations of choir uniforms will be on 26 of Feb (i.e next Friday). Seniors please wear your shoes and check the lengths of your uniforms this weekend. The correct length of your uniforms should be just high enough to see the tip of your court shoes but not your any part of your feet. IMPORTANT SO PLEASE CHECK!!! Those who have grown laterally or horizontally and need to make a new uniforms please tell either Clara or Celeste.



2. PHOTOCOPY OF PASSPORT IN BY NEXT WEEK! With it include your medical history, food allergies, next of kin's name and contact number. For those whose passports are expiring this year, quickly go make a new passport during the March holidays or else you will not be able to travel out of the country.



3. Jubilate tickets ($70) please give it to the teachers ASAP, latest 12 March. All the money has to be in BEFORE the March holidays.

For the Sec 1s who did not hear what we said about the shoes, we are going to tell you here. As the tailor will be coming next friday you need to get your shoes by FRIDAY so that we can make the uniform of the correct length.

The shoes must be-

• must be PURE WHITE


• Covered


• No embelishments (no ribbions, beads, lace, prints, etc...)


• tip must be ROUNDED. no pointed tips allowed.


• No Flats


• Heels 1 inch-2 inches high. minimum height 1 inch.

Some suggestions for places you can buy the shoes from. The shoe shops in Far East, AMK jubilee, or those small little heartland shops near Toa Payoh hub or Kovan.

We've also found a video on youtube of Butterfly sung by another choir, please go see it and get an idea what we should sound like and how butterflies actually behave. For both songs take note of proununciation, rhythm, speed, pulse, dynamics and colour and the chordings between all sections as a whole.

CCA FAIR 2010

Hello Choir!


I know we told you guys about your performance today, I would just like to add on few more things which I couldn't say cause i know you guys wanted to leave. fast.

So once again WELL DONE and THANK YOU CHOIR :D We really appreciate that despite we had to start quite early in the morning everyone was energetic, ALIVE and all ready to *ahem* lure some sec 1s to join choir. haha.


For the 3 songs- I Feel Pretty, Kimionosete, Tomorrow you guys sounded good, very lively, I'm very sure the Sec 1s enjoyed the performance very much :D Parents who came to watch also have many positive comments about the songs we sang. Your hard work will definitely pay off with the many sec 1s being inspired to sign up for choir on monday!

I know halfway through everyone got abit sian after singing the songs so many times but thank you for smiling through each and every performance. Even though we didn't practice getaran and isuki for this CCA fair, you guys managed to pull through the songs, so BRAVO CHOIR! I'm really sorry I didn't get any schedule to see the timings of the classes so all you of practically had to be stuck in the MPR3 for the whole 4 hours and thank you for cooperating with us by running back during the short breaks we had when the next class pops in.

Ok lastly, a few words of thanks to a few people. Firstly, the teachers- Mr Lim, Mrs Ong, 沈老师for being with us from morning till afternoon. Next, will be the seniors who came back to support us, some even sang with us too! Then it will be the SCs for helping us add more emotion to the songs as well to lead us today. And then lastly you all may not know it but when you guys were on your breaks, Vanessa and Celeste were talking to the parents answering thousands of questions (and most were repeated) and trying to convince them to let their daughters join choir, it was really tiring for them so THANK YOU VERY MUCH :D

Rather tiring day so go and rest now and MAKE SURE you all have the same kind of energy and enthusiasm on Thursday and Friday during sectionals for Kekatu. Comon' Choir lets work towards the Russia trip together. I know we can do it! JIAYOU EVERYBODY.

P.S we still need 9 people to go for the trip so those who have a 1%-99% chance of going please convince your parents that this trip would be a beneficial one and for the Sec 4s not to worry about O levels cause there WILL BE STUDY TIME FOR US.
